Tyler Kabat, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Life can become demanding, overwhelming, and at times leave us feeling lost, discouraged, or uncertain about how to move forward. Reaching out for help is not always easy, especially when we have spent so much time trying to manage things on our own. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self esteem concerns, or simply feeling stuck, counseling can provide an opportunity to regain direction and build the tools needed to move forward. I am passionate about helping people navigate difficult periods in their lives while developing a stronger understanding of themselves and their capabilities. I believe growth happens when we learn to recognize our strengths, challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.
Counseling is not about fixing who you are. It is about helping you build upon what is already there. My approach focuses on increasing self awareness, strengthening coping skills, and fostering a greater sense of confidence and self worth. Together, we can identify obstacles that may be getting in the way of your goals while creating practical strategies to help you move toward the life you want to live. My goal is to provide guidance, encouragement, and perspective as you work through challenges and discover what is possible for yourself moving forward. One of the most rewarding parts of this work is seeing people recognize strengths they did not realize they had. No matter what challenges you are facing, growth is possible. I would be honored to help you build the skills, confidence, and understanding needed to create the future you want for yourself.
I come from a military family and spent much of my childhood moving from place to place and experiencing the unique lifestyle that comes with military service. Today, Colorado Springs is home. Outside of counseling, I enjoy training my dog, hiking, playing soccer, and spending time watching movies.
