At Barber Family Counseling and Wellness, we provide a hands-on, supportive approach to student supervision. Our program is designed to give graduate students access to a wide range of clinical experiences, supervision styles, and therapeutic techniques. We are committed to helping students grow into confident, ethical, and grounded clinicians.
Students receive weekly triadic supervision, optional monthly group supervision when available, and participate in team consultation meetings twice per month. We focus not only on clinical skill development but also on helping students navigate areas of growth, manage anxieties, build healthy coping strategies, and begin practicing early work and life balance. We believe that establishing sustainable self care habits is essential for long term success in the field.
Our supervision program emphasizes practical application and encourages students to build trust in their clinical judgment while remaining open to feedback and support. We view our role as both mentors and collaborators in the training process.
If you are interested in applying for a student placement, please email your resume and an unofficial transcript to [email protected]
