Shaelyn Bissey, BS
Student Intern- Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy
Colorado Springs is my hometown, I was born and raised here so I have seen tremendous growth from year to year! I am a mother of two children who keep me on my toes. I spend the majority of my free time with my family either exploring Colorado's nature by going on hikes or walking around the lake, cooking for them, or sharing stories. During my down time, I love to read and I am building my crochet skills when I am not completing school work.
Experiencing life challenges can be overwhelming and discouraging at times, however, you do not have to go through them alone. Learning tools to navigate challenges and healthy coping skills can be life changing as mental health wellness is just as important as wellness in physical health; they often go hand-in-hand. I am here to provide those to you through exploring ways to heal from past trauma, as well as encourage you to move forward in current life situations in a positive and safe environment. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to help others in a healing capacity so I am truly honored to be here.
