Mariah McConnell, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Just when it feels like life has settled into a comfortable rhythm, something unexpected can change everything. Some changes are anticipated and easier to navigate, while others arrive without warning and leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or completely unprepared. Those moments can challenge our sense of stability and make it difficult to know what comes next. During life's most difficult seasons, having someone to walk beside you can make all the difference. Whether you are navigating grief, loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or major life transitions, counseling can provide support, perspective, and tools to help you move forward one step at a time.
As a Certified Grief Counselor, I have a special passion for supporting individuals who are experiencing loss and the many emotions that can accompany it. Grief is not limited to the loss of a loved one. It can also emerge through changes in relationships, identity, health, career, or life circumstances. I believe each person's experience is unique, and I approach counseling with compassion, patience, and respect for the path you are walking. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental environment where you can process your experiences openly, better understand your emotions, and discover new ways to navigate the challenges in front of you. Together, we can identify strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and create space for healing, growth, and transformation. Life rarely unfolds exactly as we expect it to. Even so, there is hope, growth, and possibility on the other side of life's most difficult chapters. It would be an honor to walk beside you as you navigate your journey and discover what comes next.
I am married to my wonderful husband, and together we are raising two children. Our family also includes a beloved snake who certainly keeps things interesting. Family is one of the greatest sources of joy in my life and continues to remind me of the importance of connection, adaptability, and appreciating the moments we share with one another.
