Caitlin "Kate" Bevel, MS, MFTC
Marriage & Family Therapist Candidate
Life can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about where to go next, and sometimes we all need a place where we can slow down, be heard, and sort through what feels overwhelming. Whether you're facing a difficult season, feeling disconnected from the people who matter most, or simply trying to better understand yourself, my goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely welcomed, respected, and understood so we can work together to discover what feels most meaningful and helpful for you. I believe people are not problems to be solved but experts on their own lives. My role is not to tell you who to be or what to do, but to work alongside you in conversations that help uncover your strengths, expand your perspectives, and create meaningful change that fits your life.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate, I believe our lives are shaped through connection. The relationships we have with partners, family members, friends, coworkers, communities, and even ourselves all influence how we experience the world. Together, we'll explore those connections with curiosity and compassion, recognizing the strengths and wisdom you already bring while creating space for new perspectives and possibilities. There are many ways to live, love, and build connections. I strive to support people in creating lives and relationships that feel authentic, fulfilling, and true to who they are.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and diverse relationship structures. I am especially passionate about providing an affirming, judgment-free space for LGBTQ+ individuals, ethically non-monogamous relationships, and the BDSM/kink community. Whoever you are and whatever your story, I want therapy to be a place where you can show up as your whole self without feeling the need to explain or defend your identity.
Originally from Houston, Texas, I recently made Colorado my home and am excited to serve this community.
Before becoming a therapist, I served in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that deepened my appreciation for resilience, teamwork, and the many different ways people navigate life's challenges. Outside of the office, you'll usually find me spending time with my partner and our three dogs, enjoying science fiction and fantasy, practicing martial arts, or exploring Colorado's beautiful outdoors.
I believe meaningful change grows from compassionate collaboration. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as we create a path forward that reflects your values, your relationships, and the life you want to build.
