Jennifer "Jenni" Monks, MA, LPC, NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor & Practice Support Lead (On Site)
Do you ever feel like the past is dragging along behind you, making it difficult to move forward? While our experiences shape who we are, they do not have to determine where we go next. Every challenge, success, heartbreak, and lesson becomes part of our story, but each of us has the ability to continue writing new chapters. Life can bring unexpected changes, losses, and hardships that leave us feeling weighed down. Depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and major life transitions can sometimes feel like stones in a backpack, making every step a little heavier than the last. You may know where you want to go but feel unsure of how to get there. My role is to help you identify the tools, strengths, and resources that can make the path forward feel more manageable.
Using evidence based approaches, I help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while developing practical skills to navigate life's challenges. I believe asking for support is not a weakness but a reflection of courage and self awareness. At different points in life, we all need someone who can help us see the road ahead more clearly. I am passionate about helping people move through difficult circumstances while remaining connected to who they are and what matters most to them. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, adjustment concerns, or simply feeling stuck, I believe there is always a way forward, even when it may not be immediately visible.
I am married to a wonderful man and share my home with two energetic dogs who keep life interesting. I love reading whenever I can steal a quiet moment. Growing up in a small rural town taught me the value of community, hard work, and the ways our lives are connected to one another. Those experiences continue to shape both how I view the world and how I work with clients today.
When you are lost in the forest, a signpost can help you find your direction. My hope is to use my training, experience, and genuine care for others to help you navigate whatever path lies ahead. I look forward to meeting you.
