Christopher "Bear" Biery, MS
Student Intern
Caring for others and assisting with challenges in life has always been part of my character. When the turmoil of life rocks a person’s foundation it can be difficult to find solace and know where a safe harbor is. A range of emotions and thoughts can flood in and disorient causing us to feel like we are drowning without hope. It can be hard to trust someone offering a life preserver or safety in their boat. I provide my clients with unconditional positive regard offering a respite from the crashing waives to gain footing and understanding within their lives. The goal for me as a counselor is to help my client build skills that provide them with hope and move from floundering towards flourishing in their lives.
I have a wonderful marriage and two living children. We enjoy the outdoors in all manner of exploration. We have lived abroad and experienced and enjoyed cultures of the world. Our family enjoys being around many sorts of animals from cats and dogs to cows and horses and have one very energetic dog of our own.
I am a 23 year veteran of the United States Air Force with multiple deployments and family separations.
